Since the end of the summer I found that I have increasingly been practicing painting and drawing out doors, ‘plein air’. Even though I work a lot as a photographer and for my latest MA conceptual work this has meant working in studios creating model landscapes to photograph, I have found that in some ways it is even more important to take my inspiration from the real world and real landscapes and to such ends I found that looking and painting / drawing landscapes is of immense importance.
